Internetics 2017 revealed the winners of this year’s competition during the Awarding Gala which took place on the 24th of November at DESCHIS ATELIER. The festival celebrating digital inteligence awarded the contestants with 28 trophies: 12 Gold, 12 Silver and 3 trophies for the Interactive Campaigns section. MRM // McCann was granted with the Agency of the Year title.
15 agencies were rewarded this year: Cohn and Jansen JWT, Heist Industries, Kubis Interactive, Jazz, Leo Burnett Romania / Publicis One, Lidl Romania, McCann Worldgroup Romania, MRM // McCann, MSLGROUP The Practice, MullenLowe Romania, Papaya Advertising, Publicis Romania/Publicis One, Samsung Romania, Three and Tribal Worldwide Romania.
Top 5 agencies of 2017, based on the trophies won and nominations, are: 1. MRM // McCann; 2. Kubis Interactive; 3. Tribal Worldwide Romania şi Cohn & Jansen JWT; 4. Leo Burnett Romania / Publicis One.
MRM // McCann’s rewarded works were: “Romania’s Next Big Vlogger” – Coca-Cola (3 Gold Trophies in Culture – Online Branded Content, Communities – Brand Associated Communities and Social Media – Online PR Special Projects), “Rombot - The first virtual ambassador of a country” – ROM (Silver for Digital Brand Experience) and “Like Exchange” – KFC (Silver for Social Media – Social Media Special Mechanics). Their works encouraged the jury to declare Coca-Cola and KFC the Most Creative Client of the Year.
Kubis Interactive won 4 trophies with their project “URSUS Escape Room LIVE”: Gold in the sections Culture – Online Advertising Games and Web – Microsites and Gold in the overall category Interactive Campaigns – Digital Component of an Integrated Campaign, being also declared as winner in the category Digital Component, FMCG – Drinks. The same campaign won the jury’s special prize: Best Use of Technology in a Digital Campaign. The “Grolsch Awake your Curiosity Experiment” brought another important trophy to the agency – Gold for Digital Brand Experience.
Tribal Worldwide was offered 2 trophies, both with the brand Pepsi, for “Pepsi – taking on Facebook”, Gold in the Social Media – Social Media Pages section and “Escape the Traditional Christmas Family Lunch with Pepsi” – Silver for Mobile Campaigns.
Two more Silver trophies went to Cohn & Jansen JWT, for “Aqua Scanner” in Mobile Apps and “Rock the Vlog by Sugus” in Brand Associated Communities (Communities category).
Leo Burnett România / Publicis One and Kaufland won 2 trophies, both for “Animaterra” – prize in Digital Component of an Integrated Campaign - Others and Silver for the overall category of Interactive Campaigns - Digital Component of an Integrated Campaign.
Four Gold trophies were also given to: Publicis România / Publicis One for “A VISA gift: Morgan Freeman reads Carmen’s Comment” campaign (Viral Video section), MullenLowe Romania with “The Endless Day of Giraf” (Social Media Special Mechanics), Samsung Romania for the app “See Colors” (Mobile Apps), Heist Industries & Romanian Police for “Ghost Radars” (Mobile Campaigns).
The competition also brought in attention several special prizes, as follows:
· Youtube Special prize - YOUTUBE ROMANIA ADS LEADERBOARD, for the “OLX Alowance #bebebine” campaign by Saatchi&Saatchi + The Geeks & Conversion
131 works were submitted to this year’s competition by 24 agencies and companies, addressing 51 brands.
